This is one of those chain letter-type notes I got on Facebook. My answers seemed blog-worthy...
Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.
1. One is not the loneliest number that I've ever know. I think integers (-1, -2, -3, etc.) have it pretty shitty, ya gotta admit.
2. I was naked when the Loma Prieta quake hit in 1989.
3. Everyone knows my favorite DC Comics superhero is Green Lantern, but do you know my favorite Marvel hero? It's Daredevil.
4. I got my middle name Wayne because my dad liked John Wayne, who won an Oscar near the time I was born.
5. I'm not race-exclusive when it comes to love, but yes, I tend to be attracted to white women. Scandalous!
6. Fuck French toast. Waffles rock!
7. Journalists deserve way more respect than they get. So do lawyers.
8. They should stopping trying to making "Superman" movies. They're never as good as we want them to be.
9. My mom died in 1993. I think about her everyday.
10. I'm as stoked about "The Watchmen" movie as Harry Potter fans were about the first HP film. Except they're dorks.
11. I don't think Barack Obama will be a great president. In fact, I won't be surprised if he's an OK president. Anything's better than what we've had for the past 8 years.
12. "To Live & Die In L.A." is a great movie. I shudda been one of those guys who books films at a barely surviving arthouse movie theater. Imagine the double features I would schedule.
13. Red velvet cake is good. Anyone who says otherwise should be shot.
14. I'm neither an atheist nor an agnostic but I do think organized religion is basically bullshit. Oh, and I think I have a right to feel that way without being looked down upon.
15. If I die and end up in heaven, I'd like to meet George Carlin, my favorite comedian of all time. Sorry, Richard Pryor.
16. "Battlestar Galactica" is the best show on TV.17. If I were to get a do-over on life, I think I would've chosen a career in music, be it musician, DJ, producer, etc.
18. We really did frak up in Iraq. And I do mean "we" because we all stood by and let it happen.
19. Marijuana should not be an illegal drug.
20. Hefeweizen is my favorite type of beer. My favorite red wine is Coppola caret; my favorite white wine is Smoking Loon chardonnay.
21. The film/book that is most autobiographical is ... "Fight Club." No, not because I'm a multiple-personality office worker who participates in underground brawls to channel his aggression. No, I mean thematically, artistically. It best expresses the point of view of me and my generation. Plus the liposuction fat theft scene is pretty hilarious.
22. I'd like to have kids someday. Now I'm starting to think being in my forties while trying to play catch-up with a tot will get progressively more difficult.
23. I love lamp.
24. I feel lucky and blessed to have gone to all of the concerts I've been to. Cat Power, Nirvana, Paul Weller, Garbage, Fiona Apple, Aimee Mann, Duncan Sheik, Stone Temple Pilots, The Killers, Audioslave, Gavin Degraw, Mat Kearney, Vienna Teng, Van Halen. Ahh, such memories. And the list is endless.
